Azerbaijan arrests persons suspected of having links with Hezbollah and Iran

The Azerbaijani police arrested an unspecified number of people on suspicion of links with Iran or Hezbollah that are both suspected of attacking foreign nationals in the country.

The Azerbaijani state TV reported that the suspected persons collected information about their targets and bought explosives, rifles and ammunition, but gave no further details.

The arrests took place after a booby-trapped car exploded in New Delhi last week, injuring an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi, and another explosive device was dismantled in the Georgian capital.
