US Embassy in Beirut praises Lebanese Army on Army Day

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut praised the Lebanese Armed Forces on Army Day for their dedication to protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and security.

The embassy cited U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as saying that Washington hopes the Lebanese Army and the legitimate, sovereign Lebanese government will continue to build their capacity to control and secure an increasing portion of the country’s territory.
