Zahle MPs demand government assistance to Syrian refugees
Zahle MPs demanded unconditional government support for Syrian refugees fleeing strife in their country. Zahle MPs who met under Deputy Toni Abou Khater condemned the bloodshed perpetrated by the Asad regime against women, children and old with the whole world witnessing and doing nothing.

The Zahle Bloc of Parliamentarians urged the Lebanese government to extend a helping hand to Syrian refugees in line with high Arab moral principles and neighborly hospitality.

Zahle deputies also criticized what they termed as Mikati-government malpractice.

They also condemned the sacking of Charbel Nahhas and installing of Jraisaty as his successor.

Zahle parliamentarians however, paid tribute to Speaker Berri saying he proved astuteness in running parliament sessions. They however urged house sub-commissions to pass bills featuring on their agendas.
