Jarrah to LBCI: Let Aoun tell us “What did he get in return for Nahhas’ head?”

Lebanon First bloc MP Jammal Jarrah said on Tuesday that talks surrounding the issue of the $11 billion are political in nature par excellence and aim at covering up for the failure of the Mikati cabinet.     

“The accounts and numbers related to the $ 11 billion are present at the ministry of finance as announced by Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi,” he added.

Jarrah told Nharkom Said TV show that “the budget and institution’s work was organized only between 1993 and 2005. The March 8 camp is seeking the approval of the 8.9 trillion LBP and the non-approval of the 2012 budget, leaving the country without a budget.”  

Jarrah stressed that the March 14 forces are adamant to audit all international accounts from 1993 until today, adding that Speaker Nabih Berri is responsible for finding a comprehensive solution for the suspended financial accounts.   

In his concluding remarks, Jarrah said “if MP Michel Aoun wanted to fight against corruption let him begin with telling us what he received in return for the head of former Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas? Was it for red diesel oil?”
