Sleiman from Romania: Lebanon refuses Palestinian resettlement

President Michel Sleiman confirmed on Tuesday Lebanon’s categorical rejection of the resettlement of Palestinian refugees in the country, stressing the importance of working hand in hand to fight against terrorism.

During a joint press conference with his Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu, Sleiman promised to reach, in the nearest future, an agreed-upon political solution for the Syrian crisis.

In turn, the Romanian president confirmed his country’s readiness to boost the military potentials of the LAF and to train the Lebanese officers in the Romanian Military Academy. He also confirmed that Romania supports Lebanon’s stability which is key to stability in the region.
