Davutoglu: Talks on Iran's nuclear program could resume in April

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Tuesday that talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany  over Tehran's disputed nuclear program may resume in  April.               

"God willing, I will talk with the Iranian foreign minister next week, and God willing a date will be set. I am expecting it in April, as in March there will be Newroz 1/8Iranian new year 3/8 in Iran and also negotiations will continue. But I believe that in a month's time there will be another meeting," Davutoglu said in an interview with the state-run TRT Haber television.               

Turkey prefers a diplomatic solution to address questions about Iran's nuclear program, which the West suspects is a cover to develop an atomic bomb. Iran says it is for purely peaceful power generation.               

The group of major powers is worried that by producing nearly 20 percent enriched uranium, Iran has come closer to mastering the technology to obtain fissile material for bombs.
