Governmental websites fall victim to piracy stunt

In the framework of a worldwide piracy campaign, an unknown group carried out a cyber-attack against several Lebanese governmental websites. The “Pirates” posted a caricature drawing that shows a poor and skinny person feeding a fat one on the front page of websites.

Above the poor person you can read “The people” and above the fat one “The government”.

The hacked websites are the following:

The General Security: http://general-security.gov.lb/

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://www.emigrants.gov.lb/

The Municipality of Beirut: http://www.beirut.gov.lb/

The Ministry of Economy: http://economy.gov.lb/

Soon after the Economy Ministry website was hacked, it was restored.
