Future Movement, Jama’ah Al-Islamiyah will not participate in Sunday’s demonstration
Future Movement Party revealed that amid the ongoing political tensions in the country, some are still calling for demonstrations in Martyr Square in Beirut Downtown in solidarity with Homs and Baba Amro.

The movement issued a press release saying “We were the first to express our sympathy and solidarity with all Syrians not only Homs and Baba Amro in their struggle for freedom, adding that the current calls for demonstrations come at a wrong timing and in the wrong”.

Future Movement Party revealed that they are not involved and will not support these calls and stances as they are not helping the Syrian people or the Syrian revolution in any way.

On the other hand Al-Jama'ah Al-Islamiyah's media office commented on Sheikh Ahmad Assir’s calls for demonstration saying that all parties in Lebanon have the right of  freedom of expression under the rule of law and in a peaceful manner as they have the right to be protected as well.

Al-Jama'ah revealed that they will not participate in the Sunday’s demonstration, adding that Sheikh Assir is being a victim of political and military oppression.
