Aoun: Jumblatt has always been with the majority for timely benefits

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun described the position of MP Walid Jumblatt whose MPs were absent during yesterday’s legislative session as “negative”. He said that this position can only be explained by the fact that Jumblatt does not want to belong to the majority.

Following his bloc’s weekly meeting, Aoun said that Jumblatt has always been with the majority for timely benefits.

As for the dispute on financial accounts, Aoun stressed that solving the issue of accounts must take place through an account cut. He called on the minority to send an account cut law, and a copy of it to the audit bureau, warning that his bloc will not accept anything illegal.

On his meeting yesterday with President Michel Sleiman in the presence of Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai, Aoun said “it was a private conversation that I do not want to comment on”.
