Lebanese women claim their rights on Women’s Day
Twenty-six women’s organizations as well as civil and civic associations staged a sit-in on Thursday outside the National Museum, under the title “achieving equality and full citizenship for women.”   

The protesters called for granting women the right to give nationality to their foreign husbands and children, to pass the law criminalizing domestic violence without amendment and to fight against all kinds of discrimination against women, no matter their nationality.   

The protesters called for a national rally on March 25 to claim the women’s rights.
