Army Commander: LAF will act with an “iron fist”
The Lebanese Army Commander released on Friday a guidance communiqué for army troops, saying "We rely on you [army troops] to curb the repercussions of the regional turmoil, the Syrian in particular."    

The communiqué urged the army to strike with an "iron fist" anyone attempt to destabilize domestic security.     

The commander explained that Lebanon had been vulnerable, throughout history, to regional and international developments. Accordingly, it added, the army must always stay on the deal with possible repercussions.
