Lebanese minor plots his abduction to split ransom with abductors

The Public Relations Section of the ISF General Directorate announced on Saturday that a minor boy had been abducted at gunpoint by unknown persons who demanded a ransom in exchange of his release.

The directorate added that the boy was released on the following day in Baalbek as he headed to the police station where he claimed that he was kidnapped by people that he believes hail from the the Bekaa town of Britel.

Following intensive investigations, the boy confessed that “the abduction” was fabricated and coordinated. The boy explained that he had plotted the operation with the abductors provided that he takes a share of the ransom.

The boy explained that after he negotiated with his relatives over a $100,000 ransom, he budged on his plan and called off the deal with the abductors. Eventually, he returned home and made up the abduction incident.
