Siniora: No compromises over financial files

Head of the Future Bloc Fouad Siniora, rejected out-of-hand any compromises regarding the contested financial files.

The ex-PM reiterated his firm belief in capital punishment meted to whoever is found in flagrant violation of the law. He duly urged the state to act firmly with them.

Siniora attributed the current wave of crimes rocking the country, to what he termed as "the progressive disintegration and dwindling prestige of the state’s power, let alone the proliferation of illegal weapons."

Commenting on the Future Bloc's so-called "working Document", he underscored the need to reach out for the rival camp in a bid to re-launch national dialogue.

Siniora concluded that by fielding this document, his bloc was in fact sounding the alarm over the gravity of the present political juncture.
