Berri: judges must follow up on food scandal
Speaker Nabih Berri said judges must follow up on the details of the much-heated expired food scandal, stressing the obligation to interrogate the responsible merchants, establishments, and parties.

Berri chaired Wednesday’s parliamentary meeting to discuss with MPs the general situation and the impending legislative session scheduled for Thursday.

The Speaker, who said all forms of corruption in all fields and sectors must be reprimanded and shine a light on the role of control bodies, competent authorities, and state institutions in fighting corruption.

Separately, he met today with Minister of Labor, Salim Jreissati, over an array of daily life matters.
