Moussa on Ethiopian suicide: Foreign labor laws in Lebanon should be reconsidered
Head of parliamentary Human Rights Committee MP Michel Moussa stressed the importance of reconsidering the rules regulating foreign labor in Lebanon.

“The committee maintains continued contacts with the ministry of labor to follow up on the issue of foreign workers,” Moussa told Nharkom Said TV show on Thursday.

The abuse incident of the Ethiopian worker which was partly aired on LBCI and later her suicide are such regretful incidents; they touched the feelings of people,” he said.

In his concluding remarks, Moussa stressed that it is required that foreign workers be treated “as humans”.
