In this context, activists raised their voice against the destruction of a monument in Tripoli, Al-Mutran Street, the last victim of an attempt to erase the city’s identity.
Consequently, the Directorate General of Antiquities, which did not grant an approval for the demolition, filed a complained before al-Tal police station in a bid to stop a crime against the country’s heritage.
