Mufti Derian: Offending Saudi Arabia is considered as "sedition"

Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian said Sunday that any attempts to ruin the historic Lebanese-Saudi relations will fail.

“Offending Saudi Arabia or any Gulf Cooperation Council country is an act of sedition”, he stressed.

In a statement, the Mufti called on all Lebanese people to think wisely and not get themselves into any political sedition, leading Lebanon into dangers its better off without.

 

Sheikh Derian addressed Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, his heir apparent , the Saudi leadership and the Gulf Cooperation Council to not abandon Lebanon in its hardship.

 

“Lebanon is Arabic and will not stand but with its Arab brothers, it's parts of this Arab nation and no haters can change that”, he added.
