Elton John Performs Surprise Concert

Elton John surprised fans in West Hollywood, California on Saturday (February 27) with a surprise concert and a surprise guest - Lady Gaga. John performed several of his hits, like “Saturday Night's Alright” in a large parking lot off the famous Sunset Strip.

The show was “to thank the city of West Hollywood and its residents for their continued support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and its Academy Awards Viewing Party over many years, “according to a statement released by John's reps. John has held an annual Oscars party in the city since 1993.

In a special moment, Lady Gaga came on stage to join John for a rendition of “Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” She's slated to perform at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday (February 28), where she is nominated for best original song for “Til It Happens to You” from the documentary “The Hunting Ground.”
