Judge issues arrest warrant for brother of ex-MP
Mount Lebanon Investigative Judge Peter Germanos issued on Tuesday an arrest warrant for Hussein Yaacoub, the brother of former MP Hassan Yaacoub.

The judge issued the warrant after listening to Yaacoub’s testimony in court over the abduction of late Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi’s son, Hannibal Gaddafi.

General Security arrested on Monday Hussein Yaacoub at Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport on the backdrop of the kidnapping of Hannibal Gaddafi.

Shortly after news broke out, Yaacoub’s mother was admitted to the Hotel Dieu Hospital.

Former MP Hassan Yaacoub was arrested last December during his questioning over the abduction of the son of ousted Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi.

The ex-lawmaker and three of his bodyguards were charged with abducting Hannibal, physically torturing him and failing to inform the concerned authorities of his capture.

Yaacoub's father was accompanying Imam Moussa al-Sadr and another man when they disappeared in Libya in 1978.
