On Wednesday March 16, 2016, Lebanon witnessed a sharp increase in fuel prices after months of downward path. In this regard, the price of gasoline increased by 500 LBP, while that of fuel oil by 300 LBP and that of diesel oil by 400 LBP.
The table issued by the Minister of Energy and Water Arthur Nazarian set the prices of hydrocarbons as follows:
- Gasoline 95 octane: 19,100 LBP
- Gasoline 98 octane: 19,700 LBP
- Fuel Oil: 10,500 LBP
- Diesel: 10,700 LBP
- Kerosene: 10,800 LBP
- Gas canister (12kg): 12,100 LBP
