Al-Khazen to LBCI: Only solution for electricity crisis is electricity generating ships

Change and Reform bloc Farid al-Khazen told Nharkom Said TV show on Friday that that the only solution to the electricity crisis lies in electricity-generating ships.

Al-Khazen voiced hope that the electricity plan will be implemented soon, adding that the opposition’s threats of revoking trust from Energy Minister Gebran Bassil are a part of its campaign against the government. “The opposition has been betting on the cabinet’s failure since day one”, al-Khazen added.

Al-Khazen stressed the need to find an alternative for oil in light of the escalation of fuel prices, wondering about the reasons that hindered the adoption of Bassil’s gas draft.

Turning to the issue of appointments, al-Khazen said that it is expected that this issue will be settled very soon.
