Bassil: There will be no increase in fuel prices
Minister of Energy Gibran Bassil said that there will be no increase in fuel prices for citizens in favor of companies and merchants. He hoped that the decision to allow cars and all vehicles to use gas and diesel oil must be followed up on to make these substances available to Lebanese citizens.

During a press conference held after his signature of the agreement on land and sea seismic surveys with the company “spectrum”, Bassil said that the Energy and Water Ministry had been designated by the government to carry out tender that allows companies to conduct those surveys.

“But the ministry assigned a company to conduct the survey, with absolutely no cost on the state”, he said.

“The French company Beicip-Franlab had informed us earlier that primary studies showed large and promising amounts of gas in our Lebanese waters," Bassil added.
