REPORT: Investigations on illegal internet have not ended- Minister Harb

Head of Media and Telecommunications Parliamentary Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah called upon the Lebanese Judiciary to carry out their responsibilities concerning the illegal internet case away from any political interference.

“The Military Court is to re-consider the Zaarour internet station, while the Ministry of defense’s investigations on the security breach will be completed in 15 days”, Fadllalah added following the committee’s meeting on Tuesday.

For his part, Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb demanded not to make the case a political one, while revealing that a member of the Ghreibi family was arrested.

"The Public Persecution has not ended its investigations yet", he added.

Harb stated that the Telecommunications Ministry is fulfilling all its duties, accusing the Lebanese security apparatuses for the dereliction.
