Labor Minister Azzi bars Dr. Riad al-Alam from practicing his duties
Minister of Labor Sejaan Azzi issued on Wednesday decisions to cancel the licenses of domestic workers recruitment offices that do not abide by their legal obligations.
 
He also issued a memorandum barring Dr. Riad al-Alam from practicing his duties as inspector at the ministry, referring his case to the Central Inspection Bureau.

On another note, Labor Ministry inspectors issued fines against institutions that recruited foreign workers who did not duly obtain work permits.
