Wahhab: Al-Jabal is the root of Syria’s unity
Arab Tawhid Party leader Wiiam Wahhab stated on Monday that the history of the Druze sect is marked by resistance, adding that no one should be surprised by the pro-Syrian pro-Arab position of al-Jabal vis-à-vis the events in Syria.   

Wahhab put forth his remarks as he was paying condolences to the family of top Syrian Druze Cleric Sheikh Ahmed Salman Al-Hijri.   

During his meeting with Druze Sheikh Hussein Jarbouh , Wahhab said that al-Jabal is the basis of unity in Syria. In turn, Sheikh Jarbouh voiced his pride for the unity of the sect despite many attempts to break ranks and spark sedition.
