Future bloc slams campaign against Interior Minister Machnouq

Future bloc said on Tuesday that the campaign launched against Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq “does not serve the Lebanese state that we all aspire.”
The bloc’s comments were made following its weekly meeting whereby the MPs demanded that all those involved in the illegal internet case to be held accountable for their actions.

The lawmakers warned against “allowing those who have interests in the file to interfere in the investigations to veer them off course.”

The bloc also noted that the issue should be kept away from political, financial, and media intervention.

Last March, the parliamentary media committee revealed what it dubbed as a “mafia” that are taking advantage of internet services by establishing internet stations that are not subject to the state control.
