Christians celebrate Good Friday across various Lebanese regions

Christian sects across various Lebanese regions celebrated Good Friday Stations of the Cross procession.

Lebanese Maronite Order, Father Abbot Elias Khalife headed the Good Friday Mass at the University of the Holy Spirit, Kaslik.

The mass was attended by political figures topped by President Michel Sleiman.

Participants in the procession carried a coffin bearing a figure of Jesus and toured the church.

While in Bkerke, the Good Friday Mass was headed by Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai and attended by several ministers and MPs as well as various political figures. Rai’s sermon called for sacrifice, redemption and following the example of the Lord Jesus.
