A Lebanese Armed Forces special unit carried out a raid in the region of Kherbet Daoud in Akkar, where they arrested three members of an Islamic State-linked cell, while another member was killed.
The cell was found to be responsible for the killing of three LAF soldiers when they were performing their duties in the region of al-Bireh and al-Rihanieh and for the injury of a first adjutant in the Information branch.
All the cell’s members are Lebanese citizens.
