Rifi meets Rai in Bkerke
Resigned Minister of Justice Achraf Rifi met on Friday with Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai in Bkerke.
Following the meeting, Rifi noted that he briefed the patriarch about the initiative he submitted to give the Christians and Alawites apt representation in the northern city of Tripoli.
Earlier this week, lawmaker Robert Fadel declared his resignation from parliament, objecting the results of Sunday’s municipal polls in Tripoli where no Christian candidates won seats on the municipal council.
