Zahra calls for re-activating March 14 forces

Member of Parliament Antoine Zahra called for the reactivation of March 14 forces role and to set new guidelines for the next political confrontation.

The MP, who was speaking to Voice of Lebanon, underscored the importance of the Maarab meeting to voice solidarity with head of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea who escaped an assassination attempt.

"The meeting rejected assassinations and violence and has called on the government to hand over the communication data to the security forces," the MP said.

He ridiculed the notion that the communication data will be a violation of the privacy of citizens, accusing some parties in the government of invading the privacy of the Lebanese. Zarha called on the government to step down if it cannot carry out its duties.
