REPORT: The Mousaharati, a fading away tradition in Lebanon
In the northern city of Tripoli, there is a person responsible for wakening up the people so they can eat before fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

He’s called the Mousaharati. He can be seen beating a drum and walking through the neighborhoods waking up people for suhoor.

This old tradition started to fade away in Tripoli as new technology innovations started to replace him.
