REPORT: Ramlet Baida, Beirut’s only public beach stirs controversy
The Ramlet Baida coast is Beirut’s only public beach.
 
However, visitors of the beach recently complained that investors were attempting to take away the only public coast in Beirut.
 
On Tuesday, a bulldozer destroyed the tent were life guards used to sit as well as a wooden staircase which led to the coast.
