Baabda female inmates find way of self-expression through theatre

Zeina Dakkache managed to raise the necessary funds to organize a theatrical work inside the Baabda prison for women.

The theatrical work aimed at shedding the light on different parts of the lives of the female inmates who chose to play the leading role of the second therapeutic play.

Zeina confirmed that, after touring different Lebanese prisons to present “the experiment of 12 Lebanese madmen”, female inmates in Baabda called for an opportunity to express themselves too.

The “Scheherazade in Baabda” play reveals another painful reality which lies in the overcrowding of the Lebanese prisons including female prisons.
