Sand quarries along the shores of Litani River have muddied the water from the southern side, mainly in the towns of Tyre and Nabatieh.
Ten quarries in the outskirts of al-Kherdali town and al-Aishieh dump all their waste into the river, while the authorities turn a blind eye and the residents threaten to escalate.
