Two recent studies dug deeper into the large benefits of eating whole grains, and both found out that eating at least three servings a day can make you live longer.
One study showed that three servings of whole grains each day could lower your risk of dying prematurely by almost 20%, compared with those who eat fewer to zero servings.
Living longer, of course means healthier, reducing the risk of a heart disease, infectious diseases, diabetes, cancer and respiratory diseases; according to the second study.
"People do not necessarily regard whole grain as delicious, but you can find a number of good recipes online that make delicious meals using whole grains," said Dr. Qi Sun, author of the Circulation study.
