A bomb exploded Monday near a Lebanese army vehicle in Ras al-Sarj area at the entrance of the northeastern border town of Arsal.
The explosive device, which weighed around three kilograms, slightly injured five soldiers.
Arsal residents swiftly condemned the incident amid calls to express solidarity with the Lebanese army in its fight against terror.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Armed Forces shelled with heavy artillery the positions of gunmen in the restive town of Arsal.
