Civil Defense volunteers in Akkar vow escalatory steps
More than 300 Civil Defense volunteers in the district of Akkar declared on Wednesday that they will escalate their movements in solidarity with their colleagues who erected tents at the Lebanese-Palestinian borders.

The volunteers issued a statement whereby they noted that they affixed black flags on their private cars and will not hesitate to affix them on Civil Defense vehicles “as a show of sadness for their ongoing sufferings and the neglect of the officials.”

They also asserted that they will erect tents outside the municipality of Halba should their demands are not met.

The Civil Defense volunteers threatened to halt all their missions and to suspend all work in all Civil Defense stations in Akkar.

They concluded by calling on the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Jean Kahwagi  and all the leaderships of security and military apparatuses to support their cause and to stand by their sides.
