Competing against nine of Lebanon’s most beautiful villages, Akkar al-Atika was voted as the preferred village for the Lebanese people in a poll held Lebanese French daily L’Orient Le-Jour.
Akkar al-Atika, long ignored by the country’s authorities, holds a magnificent nature and a splendid environmental and cultural wealth, including an ancient fortress, traditional mosques, mountains and 250 water streams.
