Wahhab to Jumblatt: Druze sect will not accept more compromises

The Head of the Arab Tawhid Movement Wiam Wahhab told Nharkom Said TV show on Thursday that he hoped the cabinet would be able to renew people’s trust and begin working in a serious manner, adding that his hopes are still unrealized. Wahhab said that March 14 forces know that regional and international powers do not wish for the cabinet to be toppled.

“A party within the cabinet is obstructing the electricity plan”, Wahhab said.

He wondered how the president can obstruct the work of the judicial system to appoint a person of his choice to fill the post of the Higher Judicial Council’s President.

Wahhab addressed the Head of the National Struggle Front Walid Jumblatt saying: “You are the main representative of the Druze sect that will not accept any more compromises.”

He stressed that he is against arming the Syrian opposition no matter the source, adding that such a step will lead to a civil war, further destruction and killing in Syria.
