Canada closes visa section of Iran embassy
The Canadian embassy in Tehran announced on Sunday that it has closed its visa section in the embassy as a cost-cutting measure that will affect thousands of Iranians.

The Tehran mission said in a statement that the visa services for Iran have been transferred to the Canadian embassy in Ankara, adding that the section's closure was decided by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada department, which regularly "explores ways of doing business more effectively and efficiently."
