Clinton, Sleiman discuss regional and international issues

President Michel Sleiman received a call on Monday from U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during which both officials discussed key regional and international issues.

Clinton expressed her desire to send her assistant Jeffrey Feltman to Lebanon to follow up on discussions of those issues.

Separately, during his meeting with former PM Fouad Siniora, Sleiman hoped that all MPs will attend the legislative sessions, approve the tabled issues after discussion, especially those related to the citizens’ needs.

The president also discussed with LAF Commander Jean Kahwaji the issue of weapon–laden cargo ship recently intercepted by the LAF.
