Mikati wishes happy Labor Day to all workers

At the beginning of Wednesday’s cabinet session held in the Grand Serail, PM Najib Mikati wished all workers a happy Labor Day. The Premier said that the decision to establish a committee for permanent dialogue between social partners stems from the purpose of instilling cooperation and activating dialogue on different social issues.

Mikati stressed that worker’s requests to enjoy their rights are legitimate, voicing hope that the comprehensive economic plan will settle all pending social issues to create new job opportunities in Lebanon.

Furthermore, Mikati praised the security achievement made by the army regarding the cargo ship loaded with weapons and ammunition. He stressed that such an achievement testifies to the wise political choices of the authorities and clearly shows the army’s level of readiness.  

The cabinet's ordinary session presided over by PM Najib Mikati at 4:30 p.m. in the Grand Serail looked into a 68-item-agenda including items that were postponed during the last session.
