Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai called for forming a cabinet that respects the National Pact and the Constitution, with competent technocrat ministers representing all the factions of the Lebanese society.
During the opening of the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops on Monday, Rai noted that “the government must achieve complete and comprehensive reconciliation that will start with approving a new electoral law that guarantees fair representation.”
