An exhibition in the Jordanian capital is showcasing a selection of work created by orphans during art therapy sessions, hoping to highlight some of the challenges they face.
Dubbed “Da Vinci's Children,” the gallery is displaying around 80 pieces painted during the creative counselling lessons.
The service is provided by the Kaynouna Art Therapy Centre which works with orphans of different ages, according to its founder, Shireen Yaish.
Kaynouna, which is Arabic for 'existence' or 'being' was established five years ago at a time when the idea of art psychotherapy was a new concept in Jordan.
