Private hospitals continue rejection of NSSF patients

Labor Minister Salim Jraissati confirmed on Saturday that he is satisfied with the workflow of the Batroun hospital which is affiliated with the National Social Security Fund.   

During an inspection tour of the equipment, employees and patients in the hospital, Jraissati revealed a future plan to improve the hospital’s conditions.     

Energy Minister Gebran Bassil accompanied the labor minister in his tour.   

In turn, the director general of the NSSF , Mohammad Karki, pointed out that the contract between the NSSF and the hospital will be extended until 2015.       

Private hospitals’ owners in the Bekaa confirmed their adherence to the syndicate’s decision not to admit NSSF patients.       

The vice chairman of the private hospitals syndicate in Lebanon, Mohammad Abdallah, stressed that hospitals in the Bekaa face the threat of closure due to the delay of social security payments.        

Abdallah confirmed that the NSSF is capable of paying the newly approved fees from the subscriptions collected from those registered with the fund.
