Charbel hopes different parties agree on electoral law

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel stressed on Monday the importance that different parties agree on the electoral law so that elections could be held peacefully, because Lebanon’s security is a priority.

Charbel added that the municipal sub-elections were “smooth and democratic” because the people are now aware of the importance of calming down the atmosphere amid the critical phase Lebanon is going through.

Charbel told “Voice of Lebanon” that the vote counting ran smoothly, hoping this calm atmosphere will prevail over the 2013 parliamentary elections.
