Aridi: Sleiman should not be held responsible for failure to sign 8.9 trillion LBP law
Minister of Public Works Ghazi Aridi announced Monday the launching of the ministry’s workshop across Lebanon. Aridi criticized the government’s performance; he said “all studies that did not take into account the 2005 budget are wrong in terms of salaries.”

While heading a meeting for the ministry’s contractors, Aridi said that corruption is not an individual problem; it starts from the leadership at the political decision-making level. He hoped that files would be prepared properly before being sent to the Audit Bureau and the Tenders Department.

“President Michel Sleiman is asked to sign the 8.9 trillion LBP law; in case he doesn’t, he is accused of paralyzing the state; he must not be held responsible for this”.

Aridi warned contractors in all regions not to pave the roads without the knowledge of the Ministry of Public Works. He called contractors not to engage in any political and electoral bazaar.
