Iran hails elections in Syria

Iran has praised the legislative elections that took place Monday in Syria, describing them as a step forward in the reforms promised by the regime.

However, it expressed regret towards the opposition groups’ election boycott, noting that election participation shows a high level of willingness to solve problems through peaceful means.
