Bassil: Christians restored proper representation

Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil said on Saturday during the inauguration of a municipal building in Faraya that the Christians have regained now their power, adding that more work can be done.

"We have restored the proper representation to the presidency; and representation would be even better in the Cabinet and parliament," he added.

The Minister noted that he was open to all electoral laws as long as they provided proper representation for all Lebanese away from narrow interests.

On another note, Bassil promised long-term plans for the country's water, electricity, energy resources and economy.
