Thousands of airplane bird strikes happen each year, but airports have several safety and conservation procedures to minimize these possibly damaging and dangerous situations.
 
Thanks to airport bird control techniques, the majority of bird strikes do not result in significant damage to the airplane or danger to the passengers.
